Teen Advocates
We are advocates, allies and activists for our own mental health. Adult voices have historically driven conversations about our mental health, but through Zero Reasons Why®, our collective voice is amplified. We lead the way to build community support, improve mental health education and increase awareness to ensure that our peers don’t struggle alone. We share our stories and perspectives to dismantle the stigma of mental health. We believe that reducing that stigma allows us to ask for help without shame or judgment. If we accomplish that, we believe we’ll see teen suicide decrease in our communities.
You can start right now with as much or as little time as you want to give.
Take Action
1. Let your voice be heard.
Share why you care and help remove the stigma of mental health. When we hear others’ stories, we are reminded we’re not alone — it helps us prioritize mental health and to ask for help when we need it. You can add your voice to the conversation through our easy storytelling platform in video or text. It’s one of the fastest ways to make a difference.
2. Stay in the know.
3. Be a digital advocate.
4. Join or start a chapter.
If we don’t have a fully active chapter where you live, you can help us start the campaign in your school or community. To do that, you’ll need to gain school administrator support or enlist the help of an adult ally who believes in the mission—and we can help.
